2017’s been a busy year. I've been working away in the studio, developing new work in my ‘Found’ and ‘Cartographic: Light Pollution’ collections and I’ve exhibited across the UK, including at the Gill Wing Gallery in London, Kunsthuis in Yorkshire and in Hidden Gems and Salvage at Coburg Gallery in Edinburgh.
In April, I was delighted to be Maker of the Month at Concrete Wardrobe, Edinburgh and I’ve shown work with other lovely stockists, including Found Gallery, Lochcarron Gallery and the newly launched, Coburg House Gallery.
Open Studios weekends in August and December at Coburg House were busy and successful and it was great to meet so many new people and to see visitors (and collectors) who’ve been to previous events.
I was also awarded a Visual Artists and Craft Maker’s Award by East Lothian Council and Creative Scotland to support professional development in stone setting and to develop new work. I’ll be starting this project in January. This looks to be a very busy month, as I’ll also be involved with the installation of work at the Visual Arts Scotland/Society of Scottish Artists’ Open exhibition at the RSA Galleries on the Mound in Edinburgh.
Thanks for all your interest in and support for my work over the last year and very best wishes for 2018!
